Over 60 Columbia alumni, restaurant owners, and friends gathered on Tuesday evening, May 2nd for "Taste of Singapore: An Evening Dedicated to F&B Entrepreneurship by the Columbia Club of Singapore." Victoria Cheng, noted food critic and TV & social media personality, moderated a lively panel discussion of four Columbia alumni who owns bars and restaurants in Singapore: Nick Yen (SEAS'91, '92) of Orgo; Min Chan (CC'05) of Club Street Social & Decker Barbecue; Varian Lim (SEAS'01) of Loof, Mischief, & Suprette; and Al Hakam (GSB): Jerry's BBQ & Grill. Members of the audience had a chance to ask questions and also taste food and drinks made by Columbia owned-businesses and merchants which have agreed to join our soon-to-launch "Dine, Drink & Discover" discount program for our members. Club Street Social, Decker's Barbecue, Orgo, Mischief, Jerry's BBQ & Grill, Eight Cafe & Bar, & Rollie Ollie all participated in the tasting fair. Members also had a chance to taste and vote on a custom-made Columbia tea blend created by ETTE TEA.
