This year we have restructured the board to add exciting opportunities for alumni to get involved. The new board invites you to share your expertise and experience in the various committees including:
Entrepreneurship: Organize startup talks with our peer institutions. Reach out to alumni entrepreneurs to share experiences. Maintain jobs page on NationBuilder for employers, students, and alumni.
Columbia Experience Overseas “CEO”: Encourage alumni and various other contacts to provide summer internships for our undergrad students. Recruit Columbian mentors for our summer interns. Organize activities with the Social Committee to promote mentor/alumni relationships.
Art and Charity: Engage with CAA Arts Access to create Asia-wide arts calendar. Cross promote art events in Asia. Identify potential charities to support for the new financial year. Identify potential events to help support the identified charities. Work with the Social Committee to organize the events. Explore partnership opportunities with peer institutions for charitable causes.
Social Events: Organize social and professional networking events targeted at multiple demographics (cocktail workshop, cooking lessons at prominent restaurants, sports, speed-dating, hikes, yacht trips, etc..). Organize events with peer institutions to strengthen working relationships. Aim to organize annual marquee event with peer institutions.
Communications and Outreach: Outreach to our peer institutions to foster better relationships in view of potential link-ups in the future. Find ways to engage alumni though multiple platforms. Work with different committees to develop targeted events to engage different group of alumni. Engage the community to promote the Columbia name so as to raise awareness of CAA Singapore.
