UCLAAS Culture Club is hosting a breakfast social with a light team debate format in June:
📅 27 June 2026 (Saturday)
🕙 10AM to 1PM
📍 Katong, Singapore
🎟️ $52 traditional / $54 vegetarian (Includes breakfast plate + free-flow coffee, tea & orange juice)
The (fictional) Royal Society of Breakfasts has convened a tribunal to review the full English breakfast plate.
- Guests will be placed into teams, assigned a breakfast ingredient, and given some time to prepare a very short, light-hearted case for why their ingredient deserves its place. After each team has made its brief case, everyone votes on the final official breakfast plate.
- No solo public speaking required — each team can choose one or more people to present, so the defence can be shared by multiple team members if preferred. The atmosphere is meant to be playful and humorous, not aggressive or adversarial.
- The event is culture/social, not professional networking or a formal debate competition. The tone is unserious but not passive: breakfast, mingling, teams, and a short mock-tribunal challenge to decide the final English breakfast plate.
Capacity is limited and registration will be reviewed/confirmed through Luma.
🏫 Participating Schools: UCL, Oxford, Cambridge, Columbia, KCL, Warwick, INSEAD, LBS, Michigan, HKUBS, and selected Culture Club guests.
