Event Description
Today, around 55 percent of the world's population is thought to be living in an urban area or city, with that figure set to rise to 68 percent over the coming decades, according to the UN. As the urban population has grown globally, the Asian continent has been home to the fastest growing cities in the world today.

In this panel, we invite our speakers to discuss how Asian cities are reshaping accepted knowledge about processes of urbanization and infrastructure. Speakers will address the social and technological aspects of this process and ask whether we have the appropriate frameworks to address issues associated with rapidly expanding cities in the 21st century.
