Please join us for our inaugural CAA Dinner Salon: Fintech, Consumer Wealth Management, and Entrepreneurship with Michele Ferrario, CEO of StashAway
Singapore has fast emerged as a leading finance and technology hub in Asia. Supported by a highly educated workforce, strong regulatory framework, investment dollars, and consumer adoption, Singapore has given rise to home grown start-ups that are making a significant impact in the region.
Michele Ferrario (’07 CBS), the co-founder of StashAway, an intelligent wealth management platform for both retail and accredited investors, will share his unique experience on building a company from the ground up in the FinTech space. He will talk about how his co-founders and him built the team, raised USD 20 million and are currently scaling the company; he will also be happy to talk about trends in the consumer wealth management industry.
Michele spent half of his career in and around financial services, as a consultant to financial institutions at McKinsey & Co., and then as a private equity investor. He then spent the second part of his career building consumer internet companies, most recently as Group CEO of ZALORA, where he was responsible for it growing 15x and becoming the undisputed leader in the market. In 2016, he was invited by the Singapore Minister of Finance to be a member of Singapore’s Committee on the Future of the Economy.
