Play it Forward Tennis Charity Event

The Columbia Alumni Association (Singapore) is organising our third annual tennis charity event this year at The Hollandse Club on Oct 4th, Sunday afternoon.

Beneficiaries are Gawad Kalinga, to continue to build communities for the Typhoon Haiyan victims in the Philippines and Read Globalto help the earthquake victims of Nepal and to expand literacy in Bhutan.

This year, we are introducing a different format by having kid' and adults' team play in doubles competition. It will be a very fun bonding experience for family and friends.

KIDS:

Kids (ages 9-15) can enter as doubles teams and will have about 1.5 hours to play doubles. Kids under the age of 9 will be able to attend a tennis clinic. $100 per team.  $50/child and we’ll help form a team. Estimated time: 3:00 to 4:30, subject to change.

ADULTS:

Adults can enter as teams of three adults (16yrs or older), and we will assign a coach as a 4th player. We are also introducing this year a “Bid for a Coach” on a silent auction basis, so if a team would like to play with a particular coach, they can bid and replace the assigned coach with the coach “won”. $300/adult team to join. $100/adult and we’ll help form a team . Estimated time: 5:00-8:00, subject to change.

Aside from this being an afternoon of fun-filled tennis for family and friends, the event is meant to support those in need and help raise awareness of what is happening in the Philippines, Nepal and Bhutan. This event is for a great cause and we hope that we will have your support this year.
